Key learning outcomes
|
Specialized manufacturing engineering is conceived as an interdisciplinary engineering field containing and interconnecting technical, structural, technological and management knowledge of engineering disciplines related to the design of products from metals, polymers (including elastomers) and polymer-based composites. The interdisciplinary nature of the study, which also requires knowledge of the characterization of materials to the extent necessary to master the professional disciplines related to their processing, presupposes extensive knowledge of the structure of multifunctional polymeric and metallic materials. A great emphasis is placed on the use of CAD, CAM and FEM applications - computer support technology, CNC machine programming, CAD-CAM systems, computer systems to support logistics and other activities, as well as knowledge of CAPP (Computer Aided Process Planning) and CIM ( Computer Integrated Manufacturing) technology.
