The exam is oral form of discussion about the student's treatise on doctoral thesis.

Expertise: A graduate of the state doctoral examination has the following professional knowledge: - Masters advanced macroeconomic and microeconomic knowledge, applicable to the identification and formulation of a research problem as well as to the analysis and formulation of the desired target project solution in an industrial firm, - has the knowledge to deduce scientific conclusions on the basis of quantitative and qualitative analytical reasoning and is subsequently able to formulate a research problem, - is familiar with new trends and development projects in the field of production systems design, systems engineering, logistics concepts and information technology, - is able to predict innovative trends in the field of industrial engineering and to use them for scientific research and development projects oriented towards improving the performance and efficiency of business processes in industrial companies. - is capable of independent scientific work, development activities oriented to increasing the performance, efficiency of business processes, implemented in industrial companies, - is able to coordinate development teams according to set team and process parameters towards achieving defined project goals, - has the ability to propose new scientific research topics in the field of industrial engineering, related to the latest trends in research and development, - is able to acquire, share and expand the expertise, skills and competences of his/her own creative activity and thus influence the conditions for the effective functioning of R&D teams, - is able to solve complex management-project problems and creative activities oriented to the use of new concepts, procedures, metrics for the evaluation of business processes, their optimization and innovation.

Professional skills: The graduate of the state doctoral examination has the following professional skills: - Is able to identify, quantify and design advanced manufacturing and downstream support processes using selected methods for data analysis and processing, quantitative and qualitative statistics, - be able to deduce, collate adequate conclusions and validate arguments and design new manufacturing processes, - is able to predict the finding of an optimal solution based on the use of industrial engineering methods, - can identify development trends in the field of industrial engineering and subsequently create development concepts and project solutions to achieve innovative progress in an industrial company.
