Course objectives:
The subject is aimed at introducting students to the functions of the computer - connecting to the internet, saving data, connecting to the intranet etc... Introducing Adobe Photoshop and its use in creating new textile patterns. Basics of scanning, the difference between bitmap and vector graphics and drawing skills using the PC.

The form of assessment of subject is course pass ("zápočet"). The result of a course pass is expressed on the scale: a) "započteno" (i.e. "pass"), b) "nezapočteno" (i.e. "fail").

- Basic PC functions, internet connection
- Introduction to Adobe software
- Introduction to Adobe Photoshop
- Scanning, vectors x pixels, image formats, storing images for archiving or further processing
- Work with layers, duplicating, linking, work with fonts, vectors and rasters
