Cieľom práce je charakterizovat kreatívnu ekonomiku ako je chápaná v Európe, USA a Číne a chrakterizovať rozdiely v portfóliách sektorov využitých ku meraniu jej výkonnosti. Následne sa práca venuje samotným analýzam a vyhodnoteniam stavu a vývoja kreatívnej ekonomiky v krajinách Európskej ekonomickej zóny a v Slovenskej republike a podáva na zákalde vyhodnotenia predikciu o vývoji príspevku kreatívneho a kultúrneho sektora Slovenskej republiky ku rastu HDP krajín Európskej ekonomicke zóny.
Annotation in English
The objective of this thesis is to provide a characteristic definition of a creative economy and the differences between an understanding of it in Europe, USA and China. Consequently, to define differences of portfolios used to measure the performance of the creative economy. The next section contains analysis and evaluation of a state and a development of the creative economy in EEA countries and especially in Slovak republic. Section is being concluded with a prediction of the development of a contribution of the cultural and creative sector to the growth of GDP of EEA countries based on previous analysis and evaluation.

Thesis in its theoretical section provides delimitation of a term creative economy used for studies in Europe and provides information about different portfolios used for studies in USA, China and Europe. In addition, the thesis explains reasons behind these differences. Finally, it provides information about two critical databases used as so-urces of data which are a foundation of practical section. Practical section is then devoted to analysis of the state and development of creative economy in European Economic Area countries and Slovak republic.
