Annotation Bakalářská práce se věnovala studiu rozkladu bakteriálního exopolysacharidu xa-nthanu, také trisacharidu rafinózy a tetrasacharidu stachyózy bakterií Paenibacillus sp. XD. Výsledky získané měřením nárůstu biomasy a enzymové aktivity prokázaly schopnost degradace těchto sacharidů a také existenci extracelulárních enzymů při rozkladu xanthanu a rafinózy. Bylo zjištěno, že optimální doba růstu kultury XD v xanthanovém a rafinózo-vém viskózním médiu byla 3 dny. Dále byly prováděny testy schopnosti bakterie inhibovat tvorbu biofilmu u vybra-ných biofilmových kultur. Výsledky tohoto experimentu ukázaly, že bakterie Paenibacillus sp. XD má největší vliv na inhibici tvorby biofilmu kulturou Pseudomonas aeruginosa CCM 3955.
Annotation in English Bachelor thesis dealt with the study of bacterial degradation of the exopolysaccha-ride xanthan gum, also trisaccharide raffinose and the tetrasaccharide stachyose by bacteria Paenibacillus sp. XD. Results obtained by measuring the increase of biomass and enzyme activities demonstrated the ability of degradation of these carbohydrates as well as the ex-istence of extracellular enzymes during decomposition of xanthan gum and raffinose. It was found that the optimal time of growth of culture XD in xanthan and raffinose viscous medium was 3 days. Further tests were conducted ability of bacteria to inhibit biofilm formation of se-lected biofilm forming cultures. The results showed that the greatest effect on the inhibi-tion of biofilm has Paenibacillus sp. XD on the biofilm of Pseudomonas aeruginosa CCM 3955 culture.
