Bakalářská práce na téma Možnosti regenerace brownfields na případové studii bývalých kasáren v Uherském Hradišti je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí. Teoretická část této prá-ce je zaměřena především na definování pojmu brownfields, který dosud nemá v dostupné literatuře jednotné vymezení. Zabývá se hlavními výhodami a překážkami regenerace těch-to pozemků. Další kapitolou této práce je souhrn nástrojů, které ošetřují problém řešení brownfields. Druhá, praktická část bakalářské práce, je zaměřena na srovnání modelových příkladů v zahraničí i modelový přiklad k regeneraci - bývalá kasárna Uherské Hradiště. V současné době není přesně stanoven plán využití jednotlivých ploch, proto se závěr práce zaměřuje na možné využití vybrané plochy tak, aby bylo nalezeno kompromisní řešení v rámci přání obyvatel města i představitelů politické reprezentace města Uherské Hradiště.

This bachelor thesis dealing with the Possibilities of regenerating brownfields on the case study of the former barracks in Uherské Hradiště is divided into two main parts. The theo-retical part of this thesis aims above all at defining the concept of the brownfields, which is not sufficiently defined in any accessible literature It deals with the main advantages and obstacles of the regeneration of these grounds. Another chapter of this thesis is a summary of tools which are treating the problem of solving the brownfields. The second, practical part of this bachelor thesis, is aiming at comparing some model examples from abroad and a model example for regeneration - the former barracks in Uherské Hradiště. For the time being there does not exist any plan of using the individual areas, that is why the conclusion of this thesis is focused on possible utilizing of a selected area in such a way, so that a compromise solution may be found within the framework of the requests of the population of this town and of the representatives of the political representation of Uherské Hradiště.
