V teoretické části práce je provedena literární analýza, která se zaměřuje na evoluci a funkce peněz. Dále se v práci popisují kryptoměny, včetně jejich charakteristik, historie a druhů. Technologie blockchain je rovněž podrobně analyzována. Praktická část je věnována průzkumu, jehož cílem je zjistit, jakou funkci mohou kryptoměny zastávat v budoucnosti a zda mají potenciál stát se globální měnou.

In the theoretical part of the thesis, a literature analysis is carried out that focuses on the evolution and functions of money. Furthermore, the thesis describes cryptocurrencies, including their characteristics, history and types. Blockchain technology is also analyzed in detail. The practical part is devoted to a survey to determine what function cryptocurrencies may have in the future and whether they have the potential to become a global currency.
