Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou seniorů při nástupu do zařízení typu domova důchodců, jejich adjustací a adaptací na nové životní podmínky. Pro úspěšné zvládnutí této životní změny napomáhá osobnostní profil zdravotního a ostatního personálu v těchto zařízeních, dále prostředí, vybavení a umístění domova důchodců.
Z této práce vyplývá, že 80 % seniorů se adjustuje za pomoci rodiny, přátel a pracovníků úplně. Zbytek jednostranně nebo špatně. Ojediněle se vyskytují i senioři naprosto neadjustovaní.

This bachelor work deals with problems of seniors when they start to live at senior living centers, with their adjustability and accommodation under new living conditions. A personal profile of health personnel as well as environment, rest home facilities and location greatly contribute to a successful mastering of such a vital life changes.
The work concludes that 80 % of seniors get completely adjusted provided that they have the help of a family, friends and personnel. The rest of seniors adjust either partly or unsatisfactorily. Rarely there are some seniors who never adjust.
