Bakalářská práce pojednává o fenoménu mezilidské solidarity a pomoci na historickém pozadí vývoje evropských společenstvích a o dimenzích vzniku sociální politiky a sociálního zabezpečení v Evropě. Charakterizuje podstatu sociálního zabezpečení jako součásti sociálního systému České republiky a jeho úlohu v souvislosti s transformací české společnosti na konci XX.a počátku XI. století a při začleňování do společenství Evropské unie.

The bachelor thesis deals with a phenomen of interpersonal solidarity and help on the historical background of the evolution of european communities and with the origin of social policy and social security in Europe. It describes the social security substance as a part of the social system of the Czech Republic and its role in the czech society transformation at the end of 20th and the beginning of 21st century and its incorporation in the European Union.
