Tato práce pojednává o Probační a mediační službě České republiky v systému prevence kriminality mládeže. Je rozdělena na úvod, pět kapitol a závěr. V úvodu jsou vysloveny dvě hypotézy:
1.zda za současného stavu a právní úpravy Probační a mediační služba účinně pomáhá jedincům mladším patnácti let a mladistvým s patologickým jednáním s nápravou škod a znovuzačleněním do společnosti,
2.zda Probační a mediační služba působí preventivně v kriminalitě dětí mladších patnácti let a mladistvých.
V jednotlivých kapitolách jsou shromaždovány a ucelovány informace o historii vzniku probace a mediace v České republice, jejím právním rámci, funkcích, cílech a vzdělávacím systému probačních úředníků a asistentů, činnosti Probační a mediační služby v rámci řízení proti mladistvým a jejím podílu na prevenci trestné činnosti mládeže.
Závěr této práce je věnován vyhodnocení zjištěných informací, k nastínění určitých nedostatků v činnosti Probační a mediační služby a návrhům na jejich možná řešení.
Annotation in English
The paper deals with the work of the Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic (PMS) within the system of prevetion of youth criminality. It comprises the Introduction, five chapters and the Conclusion. In the Introduction the author delivers two hypotheses:
1.whether or not, in the current state of legal regulations, the PMS effectively helps the individuals younger than 15 years and the adolescents with pathologic behavior make amends for the damage and get re-integrated into the society;whether or not the PMS works as a means of prevention of the criminal activity of children younger than 15 years and of adolescents.
The following five chapters bring gathered and completed information on the origin and the history of probation and mediation in the Czech Republic, their legal frame, function and goals, the education system of probation officers, the work of PMS in legal action against adolescents and its share in the prevention of youth criminality.
The Conclusion includes evaluation of the collected information, an outline of various shortcomings in the work of PMS and suggestions for improvement.
