Annotation Práce stručnou formou přibližuje nesnadné téma genových technologií a podobory, které pod tuto problematiku spadají. Vychází z definice genu a ostatních základních atributů. Dále jsou uvedeny základy molekulární genetiky, pojmy nukleových kyselin, mutací a genového inženýrství. Uvedeny jsou také základní informace o genové terapii, klonování a geneticky modifikovaných organismech.
Annotation in English This bachelor thesis nears difficult theme of genetic engineering by brief form and branches of activity, which fall into this problems. It appears from definition of gene and other basic attributes. Further there are some basic of molecular genetics bring into this, notions like nucleic acids, alternation and genetics engineering. Basic information about gene therapy are bring, including cloning and genetically modify organisms.
