Práce pojednává o canisterapii jako o jedné z terapií využívané ve speciálně pedagogické péči. Canisterapie je terapie využívající pozitivní působení psa na zdraví člověka. Působí příznivě jak na zdravotní stav člověka, tak i na jeho psychický stav.
Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část, každá část obsahuje několik kapitol.
V teoretické části je popsána historie a vznik canisterapie, oblasti, ve kterých se canisterapie využívá. Dále se v práci věnuji typům canisterapie, jejím metodám a formám použití. Jaké má účinky na rozvoj pohybové, rozumové i citové stránky u klientů s různým typem postižení. Poukazuji na výběr správného psa, jeho výcvik a canisterapeutické zkoušky.
V praktické části jsou uvedeny jednotlivé kazuistiky klientů, kteří se pravidelně účastní canisterapie. Výsledkem je shrnutí účinků canisterapie u jednotlivých klientů.
Cílem práce je shrnutí dostupných informací o canisterapii a sledování jejího působení v různých oblastech schopností a dovedností na klienty s kombinovaným postižením.

Graduation theses deals with the canistherapy as one of the therapies used in special educational care. Canistherapy is therapy benefiting from positive action dog on human health. It has benefitial effect on both the state of health of human, as well as his mental state.
The work is divided into theoretical and practical part, each section contains several chapters.
In the theoretical part is described the history and emergence of canistherapy, areas in which canistherapy is used. Next the work deals about the types of canistherapy, its methods and forms. What are the effects on the development of movement and emotional sites of clients with different types of disability. I point out how to select right dog, its training and canistherapy tests.
In the practical part are given individual case histories of clients, who regularly participate in canistherapy. The result is a summary of the effects of canistherapy for individual clients.
The aim of my graduation theses is to summarize all available information about canistherapy and follow up its incidence in various areas of abilities and skills on clients with combined disablement.
