Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá romským etnikem a možnostmi jeho výchovy a vzdělání v podmínkách české společnosti. Je členěna do tří kapitol, přičemž první dvě kapitoly rozebírají historii Romů, která vede k pochopení jednání a chování příslušníků romského etnika, popisují problémy romského etnika tak, jak jsou vnímány příslušníky většinové společnosti. Závěrečná kapitola práce řeší zejména specifika romského etnika, která zdůvodňují negativní postoj Romů ke vzdělávání. Dále poukazuje na nutnost zabývat se romskou otázkou nejen na úrovni komunální, ale i na úrovni celonárodní a zároveň zdůrazňuje úlohu nestátních neziskových organizací při řešení této problematiky.
Annotation in English
This bachelor work deals with the Romany ethnic group and the possibilities of its enlightenment in the conditions of the Czech society. It is divided into three chapters. The first two of them analyze the history of Romanys which leads to understanding the acting and the behavior of members of this ethnic group. I describe the problems of the Romany ethnic group just as they are perceived by the members of majority society. The final chapter solves especially specific problems of this ethnic group which cause Romanys’ negative attitude towards education. It also points at the necessity to address the Romany issue not only at the community level but also at the national level, and, at the same time, it emphasizes the role of non-governmental nonprofit organizations in solving this problem.
