Tato práce obsahuje skutečnosti přibližující osobnost odsouzeného, se zvláštním zřetelem na poruchy osobnosti, a měla by podávat základní informace o vzniku, fungování a vlivu působení vězeňské subkultury právě na osobnost jedince ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody. Zabývá se hierarchií ve struktuře odsouzených, faktory majícími vliv na zařazení do této struktury, způsoby komunikace mezi vězni, jakožto i vztahy mezi nimi působícími, včetně vztahů na úrovni sexuální či partnerské. Neopomíná také zmínit některé doprovodné jevy typické pro existenci ''druhého života‘‘ jakým je například tetování.

This work includes facts which explains the convicted personality with special emphasis to personality disturbances and it is suppoused to give the basic information about the formation, working, and influance of the prison subculture exactly to the individual personality in prosecution of the prison sentence. It goes in for the hierarchy of the structure of the inmates, factors having influence on inclusion into this structure, the ways of communication among the prisoners qua relationship which influence among them including relationship on the sexual or comradship. It also doesn´t omit some of the incidental phenomenon which is typical in the existence of the "second life", such as tattoo.
