Bakalářská práce se zabývá významem rodiny a rodinných vztahů na vývoj dítěte jako zdravě sebevědomého jedince. Tento vývoj může být narušován a ovlivňován jak prvky vnějšího prostředí, tak i mnoha nejrůznějšími faktory zakódovanými uvnitř rodiny. Autorka navrhla a provedla vlastní výzkum na téma rodina v současné společnosti očima mladých lidí. Autorka konstatuje, že úspěšná ontogenetická evoluce jedince je nejvíce podmíněna přítomností zázemí milující rodiny a současně možností poznávat svět aktivně a po svém. Závěrem autorka uvádí, že k dalším potřebám, které by se měly naplnit, patří: vlastní aktivita, zvídavost, realizace kvalitního koncepčního vzdělání a celoživotní výchovy. Funkční rodina je zkušenostní základ, na kterém jedinec může úspěšně budovat vlastní život, uplatnit se v oboru, který ho zajímá, najít své uspokojení a štěstí.

This bachelor work is concerned with the importance of a family and family relations that influence the development of a child as a healthy self-confident individual. Such a development might be interrupted and influenced by elements from the environment that is external from the family itself, and also by many various factors that are encoded inside the family. The author proposed and realised her own research regarding the importance of family in the contemporary society from the point of view of young people. The author recognises that the successful ontogenetic evolution of an individual is based on the presence of the family environment full of love and in the same time on the possibility to learn the world in an active way respecting own choices. Finally the author points out at the other needs to be fulfilled are: individual activity, inquisitiveness, conceptual education of a good quality and long life socialisation. The functional family is the experience basement to be used by any individual to build up his/ her own life, to become useful in the field of his/ her interests, to find his/ her feeling of inner peace and happiness.
