Práce obsahuje teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části popisuji historický vývoj orgánových transplantací a imunosupresivní terapie. Dále se zabývám organizací odběrů orgánů a transplantací, uvádím přehled transplantačních center v ČR a hlavní prameny transplantační legislativy. V poslední kapitole se zaměřuji na etické otázky v kontextu s transplantacemi jako je definice mozkové smrti, souhlas s posmrtným odběrem orgánů, etické principy, alokaci orgánů, obchod s orgány a xenotransplantace.V praktické části jsem především zjišťovala postoje, názory a povědomí veřejnosti o transplantační problematice. Tuto část doplňuje dotazník vyplněný pacientem s transplantovanou ledvinou, který zde popisuje své prožitky a zkušenosti.

This work includes practical and theorethical part. Theoretical part describes historical developement of organ transplantation and imunosupresive therapy. This work deals with organization of organ extraction and transplantation, list of transplantation centres in Czech republic and main sources of transplantation legislation as well.The last chapture of the work deals with ethical questions considering the transplantation as a definition of brain death, approval with postmortem extraction of organs, ethical principles, alocation of organs, trade with organs and xenotransplantation.The main focus of the practical part is to investigate opinions and attitudes of the society by means of questionaire. The next topic of the practical part are feeligs of the patient after kidney transplantation, which is being investigated by the questionaire as well.
