Osoby zdravotně postižené jsou často vyloučeny na okraj společnosti, proto patří mezi ohrožené skupiny obyvatel. Jedním z důvodů jejich vyloučení je neschopnost uplatnit se na trhu práce. I přes rozvíjející se sociální cítění vyspělých států je nutná zvýšená ochrana zdravotně postižených osob skrze veřejný sektor jako prevence sociálně patologických jevů ve společnosti spojených s jejich nezaměstnaností. Okres Karviná se pro svoji vysokou nezaměstnanost a horší zdravotní stav obyvatelstva stal objektem práce. Cílem je zmapování problematiky zdravotně postižených osob a navržení projektu podpory jejich zaměstnávání v okrese Karviná. První část práce je rešerše české i světové literatury věnující se problematice zaměstnávání zdravotně postižených osob. Další částí je statistická analýza získaných dat vztahující se k problematice prezentována pomocí tabulek, grafů a rozborů. Výsledkem práce je shrnutí struktury registrovaných nezaměstnaných se zdravotním postižením, identifikace slabých míst jejich zaměstnávání v okrese Karviná a projekt podpory jejich zaměstnávání. Přínosem pro praxi je zjištění nedostatečně aktivity kontaktních míst veřejné správy a nepostačující kapacita neziskových organizací v regionu otvírající cestu pro zlepšení. Přínosem pro vědu je shrnutí nejednotnosti definic zdravotního postižení dávající prostor ke hledání společné evropské definice. Diplomová práce by mohla toto téma rozšířit o strukturu zaměstnaných osob se zdravotním postižením a podrobněji zanalyzovat zdravotně postižené uchazeče o zaměstnání k identifikaci hlavních důvodů jejich nezaměstnanosti.

The physically disabled are ofttimes socially marginalised, and thus are among the vulnerable groups of population. One of the reasons for this marginalisation is their inability to integrate into the labour market. No matter how good the social conscience of the developed countries is, enhanced protection of the physically disabled is needed; preferably through the public sector as the socio-pathological phenomena prevention connected with their high unemployment rates. And that is exactly the reason I have chosen Karviná district as the area of my research the below average health conditions of the population and high unemployment rates. My aim was to uncover the most serious issues people with physical disabilities have to deal with, and to design a project of integrating them into the labour market in Karviná district. In the first part of my thesis I am researching the specialised literature, both Czech and foreign, dealing with the issue of employment of the physically disabled. In the second part I am analysing the data acquired in the research and presenting them via a number of tables, charts and analyses. As a result, I have summarised the structure of the physically disabled that are registered as unemployed, identified the weaknesses of the employment issues in Karviná district, and outlined the project of their integration. Put into practice, I have pointed out the lack of activity the contact points under the Public Administration are doing; and the insufficient capacities of the NPOs operating in the district that are supposed to improve the situation. From the scientific point of view, I have summarised the inconsistent definition of the term "the physical disability", which can help in unifying of the definition for European purposes. My diploma thesis can be extended by a list of the physically disabled that are unemployed and by an analysis of the main reasons for their unemployment.
