Teoretickým základem bakalářské práce je koncept jazykové krajiny. Cílem praktické části je provést lexikální analýzu nářečí a dalších výrazů, které se vyskytují ve veřejném prostoru obce Brunnen v kantonu Schwyz. Soubor textů a nápisů pro analýzu obsahuje 291 exemplářů, které reprezentují několik kategorií jazykové krajiny. V teoretické části je představena jazyková krajina jako sociolingvistická disciplína a popis švýcarské němčiny i psaného dialektu ve vybrané oblasti. V praktické části pomáhá rozbor nápisů zmapovat četnost použití dialektu v psané formě ve veřejném prostoru a výskyt jak německého jazyka, tak i dalších jazyků. Výsledky práce mapují ráz jazykové krajiny v dané oblasti z hlediska slovní zásoby a podporují porozumění místnímu dialektu a ostatních jazyků, které se v jazykové krajině obce objevují. Tyto výsledky mají význam pro zachování identity vybrané oblasti.

The theoretical basis of the bachelor thesis is the concept of linguistic landscape. The aim of the practical part is to conduct a lexical analysis of dialects and other expressions that occur in the public space of the municipality of Brunnen in the canton of Schwyz. The set of texts and inscriptions to be analyzed contains 291 exemplars representing several categories of linguistic landscape. The theoretical part introduces the linguistic landscape as a sociolinguistic discipline and describes Swiss German and the written dialect in the selected area. In the practical part, an analysis of the inscriptions helps to map the frequency of written dialect use in public space and the occurrence of both German and other languages. The results of the work map the nature of the linguistic landscape in the area in terms of vocabulary and promote understanding of the local dialect and other languages that appear in the linguistic landscape of the community. These results are important for the preservation of the identity of the selected area.
