Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na život pacienta s implantabilním kardioverter-defibrilátorem. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří hlavních kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá anatomií a fyziologií srdce a oběhové soustavy. Druhá kapitola zahrnuje onemocnění, při nichž se kardioverter-defibrilátor užívá. Poslední část se věnuje samotnému kardioverter-defibrilátoru (ICD). Praktická část pomocí dotazníkového šetření zkoumá život pacienta po implantaci ICD. Bylo stanoveno 5 cílů. Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda, jak a v jakých oblastech ovlivnil implantabilní kardioverter-defibrilátor (ICD) život respondenta. Výzkumné šetření probíhalo formou dotazníkového šetření vlastní konstrukce, kterého se zúčastnilo celkem 107 respondentů. Na podkladě získaných výsledků vznikla edukační brožura: "Život s ICD".

The bachelor thesis focuses on the life of a patient with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter deals with the anatomy and physiology of the heart and circulatory system. The second chapter covers the diseases in which the cardioverter-defibrillator is used. The last section focuses on the cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) itself. The practical part uses a questionnaire survey to examine the patient's life after ICD implantation. Five objectives were set. The main aim of the study was to find out whether, how and in which areas the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) has affected the respondent's life. The research investigation took the form of a self-constructed questionnaire survey in which a total of 107 respondents participated. Based on the results obtained, an educational brochure, "Living with an ICD" was created.
