Duševní onemocnění mají významné dopady v osobní, profesní i společenské rovině. Ženy postižené duševním onemocněním jsou pak specifickou skupinou, na kterou se zaměřuje tato bakalářská práce. Kvalita života žen s duševním onemocněním je popisována pohledem všeobecné sestry a doplněna perspektivou dvou pacientek trpících závažným duševním onemocněním, kdy cílem je zjistit, jaká je kvalita života žen s duševním onemocněním dle názoru všeobecných sester, a popsat ostatním všeobecným sestrám a pracovníkům poskytujícím péči duševně nemocným ženám, jaká je kvalita života žen s duševním onemocněním a které aspekty mohou ovlivnit kvalitu jejich života. Práce je rozdělena obvyklým způsobem na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá vymezením pojmu kvalita života, popisem závažných duševních onemocnění a rolí všeobecných sester v péči o duševně nemocné. Praktická část je kvalitativním výzkumem, kdy výzkumný soubor tvořily čtyři všeobecné sestry a doplňují jej dvě pacientky se SMI. Jako techniku v empirické části jsme použili polostrukturovaný rozhovor a data analyzovali otevřeným kódováním. Výsledkem výzkumu je vhled do problematiky kvality života žen s duševním onemocněním z perspektivy všeobecných sester, které o pacientky pečují a které se mohou stát významnými podporovateli a pomocníky při zlepšení kvality života žen s duševním onemocněním.

Mental illnesses have major impact on personal, professional, and social life. Women affected by mental illnesses are a specific group, on which this bachelor's thesis is focused on. The quality of life of women with mental illness is described by a general nurse's point of view, and then supplemented with the perspectives of two female patients suffering from serious mental illnesses. The aim of this thesis is to determine the quality of life of women with mental illness according to the opinion of general nurses, to ascertain which aspects of life can be beneficial to them, and to describe the quality of life of mentally ill women to other general nurses and mental health professionals. This thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is concerning with the definition of the concept of quality of life, description of serious mental illnesses, and the roles of general nurses tending to the mentally ill. The practical part consists of qualitative research, where the researched group constituted of four general nurses and two female patients with SMI. For the methodology in the empirical part, we used a semi-structured interview and we analyzed the data with open coding. The result of the research is the insight into the topic of quality of life of women with mental illness through the perspective of general nurses, who are their carers and may become significant supporters and helpers in their quality of life.

Annotation
