Annotation Tato práce se zaměřovala na studium šesti kultur bakterií izolovaných ze vzorků stojatých a tekoucích vod. Cílem bylo testovat schopnost těchto kultur růst a degradovat uhlovodíkové polutanty při teplotě 8 °C, což je běžná teplota pro podzemní vody. Testy ukázaly, že se jedná o psychrotrofní bakterie, pravděpodobně Acinetobacter lwoffii/junii. Testován byl růst na těchto látkách: toluen, oktan, hexadekan, resorcinol, N-methyl 2-pyrrolidon, tetradekan, dodekan a dekan. Studované kultury na většině substrátů při 8 °C nerostly, pouze hexadekan a tetradekan se ukázaly být za těchto podmínek pro některé z nich využitelnými uhlíkatými zdroji.
Annotation in English This work was focused on the study of six bacterial strains isolated from samples of stagnant or flowing water. The goal was to test the ability of these strains to grow and degrade hydrocarbon pollutants at a temperature of 8 °C, which is a common temperature for many groundwater. The results showed that the strains are psychrotrophic bacteria, probably Acinetobacter lwoffii/junii. During the study, the growth of above mentioned bacteria on toluene, octane, hexadecane, resorcinol, N-methyl 2-pyrrolidone, tetradecane, dodecane and decane was tested. The strains were incapable to grow on most of the substrates at 8 °C, but under such condition, hexadecane and tetradecane revealed to be utilizable carbon sources for some of them.

- Vypracujte rešerši zaměřenou na bakteriální degradaci vybraných polutantů za snížených teplot 

- Ověřte růst psychrofilních bakterií, využívajících fenol, na dalších uhlovodících a polutantech (např. na toluenu, oktanu, cyklohexanu, na derivátech fenolu, pyrrolidonu apod.)

- Získané poznatky přehledně zpracujte a práci odevzdejte v tištěné i elektronické formě v řádném termínu

Research Plan

- Vypracujte rešerši zaměřenou na bakteriální degradaci vybraných polutantů za snížených teplot 

- Ověřte růst psychrofilních bakterií, využívajících fenol, na dalších uhlovodících a polutantech (např. na toluenu, oktanu, cyklohexanu, na derivátech fenolu, pyrrolidonu apod.)

- Získané poznatky přehledně zpracujte a práci odevzdejte v tištěné i elektronické formě v řádném termínu
