Diplomová práce s názvem "Motivace pěstounů k výkonu pěstounské péče" se zabývá životními příběhy pěstounských rodin na přechodnou dobu. Pěstounská péče na přechodnou dobu je jednou z forem náhradní rodinné péče v České republice. Označuje se jako přechodná kvůli své délce, kdy dítě může být v takovéto pěstounské rodině nejdéle na dobu jednoho roku. Teoretická část je obecně věnována problematice náhradní rodinné péče v ČR, ale také zprostředkování pěstounské péče. Závěr teoretické části práce je věnován samotnému tématu motivace. Empirická část díky dotazníkům s jednotlivými respondenty přináší možnost nahlédnout do životů pěstounů, kteří odhalili kladné i temné stránky pěstounské péče, a především možnost dozvědět se o motivaci, která je pro všechny respondenty tohoto výzkumu hnacím motorem.

The thesis entitled "Motivation of Foster Parents to Foster Care" deals with the life stories of foster families in transition. Transitional foster care is one of the forms of foster family care in the Czech Republic. It is referred to as transitional because of its length, where a child can be in such a foster family for a maximum of one year. The theoretical part is generally devoted to the issue of foster care in the Czech Republic, but also the mediation of foster care. The conclusion of the theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the topic of motivation itself. The empirical part, thanks to the interviews with individual respondents, provides insight into the lives of foster carers who revealed both positive and dark sides of foster care, and above all, the opportunity to learn about the motivation that drives all respondents in this research.
