Bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice soužití vícegeneračních rodin, rozdílností ve vztazích mezi rodiči a prarodiči, vzájemným ovlivňováním a přenosem modelu chování na potomky. Snaží se najít rozdíly mezi vícegeneračním soužitím ve městě a na venkově. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny pojmy, které s problematikou přímo souvisí, jako je rodina a její funkce, socializace jedince v rodině, mezigenerační vztahy a jejich upevňování, transgenerační přenos, specifika života ve městě a na venkově. Výzkumným problémem popisným v praktické části jsou názory rodin, které žijí ve společné domácnosti v obcích různé velikosti. Cílem výzkumné činnosti je zjistit, z jakého důvodu rodiny volí společné soužití, jaká jim to přináší pozitiva, negativa a v čem je to omezuje. Zjišťuje, do jaké míry má na mezigenerační vztahy v rodině vliv velikost obce ve které žijí, a v neposlední řadě, jak je ovlivňují modely chování členů rodiny, které si nesou v sobě od dětství. Pro zjištění požadovaných skutečností byl zvolen kvantitativní výzkum pomocí anonymního dotazníku. V praktické části jsou prezentovány a graficky znázorněny výsledky šetření.

The present study deals with the issues of multigenerational familiescohabitation, the differences in the relationships of parents and grandparents, mutual influencing and the transfer of behavioural models to children. The thesis strives to find the differences between such cohabitation in urban as well as in and rural surroundings. The theoretical section delimits directly relevant concepts such as the family and its functions, an individual s socialization within the family, intergenerational relationships and their strengthening processes, transgenerational transmission, the specificities of rural and urban lifestyles. The research problem described in the practical section involves the opinions of families living within one dwelling in settlements of different sizes. The research objective is to find out the reasons for families to opt for cohabitation, what positives, negatives and limitations it brings about. The work's purpose is to learn to what extent intergenerational relationships within families are influenced by thesis of cities/villages they live in and last but not least, how they are influenced by family members behavioural models carried on from their childhood. As a tool to gather the required information, quantitative research with the use of an anonymous questionnaire was used. The practical section offers the presentation and graphical representation of the investigations results.
