Psychická odolnost a komunikační dovednosti patří ke klíčovému vybavení vězeňského personálu.
Účelem výkonu trestu není jenom ochrana společnosti zabránit odsouzeným v páchání další trestné činnosti, ale představuje také funkci regulativní s orientací na změnu chování pachatele s možností využití poznatků sociální pedagogiky v oblasti integrační i rozvojové formou výchovných postupů a pomoci.

A prison room creates a specific social system. This system is connected by a few connections in activities principle with a high organization. In this organization there blend together different managment’s structures of a staff and a high number of imprisoned people.
Cumulation of people with behaviour disorders, enforced staying in prison connected with a duty of diferring to the assigned regime and to the order and discipline makes at a lot of them feel the negative emotions, which are often the cause of creation conflictful situations. Psychological performance and communication skill belong to the key component of prison staff.
The objective of the punishement is not only the defense of society to protect contvicted people to do more criminal activities, but it also means the regulative function with orientation of offender to a change of his behavior with a possibility of usage pieces of knowledge of the social pedagogy in spheres of integration and development by a form of pedagogic procedure and help.
