Diplomová práce byla zaměřena na klastrové organizace jako nástroj regionálního rozvoje Olomouckého kraje. Klastry a klastrové organizace jsou považovány v současné době za výrazné elementy, které efektivně rozvíjí daný region v rozmanitých oborech. Cílem diplomové práce bylo provést analýzu současného stavu podpory klastrových organizací v Olomouckém kraji. Zde byly zjištěny jak pozitiva, tak bariéry. Závěry analýzy byly doplněny o poznatky získané ze semistrukturovaných rozhovorů se zaměstnanci regionálních institucí podporující klastrové organizace v tomto kraji. Dalším cílem práce bylo navržení projektu, kterým by vybraná klastrová organizace přispěla k regionálnímu rozvoji Olomouckého kraje. Projekt byl vypracován pro Český optický klastr, z. s. specializující se na zobrazovací a spotřební optiku, vojenskou optiku a světelnou techniku. Navrhnutý projekt "Optics for Young" byl zaměřen na stimulaci zájmu dětí a mladých lidí o optický obor, jež je jednou z krajských domén specializace.

The thesis was focused on the cluster organizations as an instrument of regional development of the Olomouc region. Clusters and cluster organizations are considered to be significant elements that effectively developing the region in a variety of fields. The aim of this thesis was to analyze the current support of cluster organizations in the Olomouc region. It has shown some positives and barriers. The analysis was supplemented by the knowledge gained from semi-structured interviews with employees of regional institutions supporting cluster organizations in this region. Another goal of the thesis was to propose a project to which a selected cluster organization would contribute to the regional development of the Olomouc region. The project was developed on the Czech Optical Cluster specializing in displaying and consumer optics, military optics and light technology. The proposed project "Optics for Young" was focused on the stimulation of children´s and young people´s interest in the field of optics, one of the regional specialization domains.
