Tato bakalářská práce zjišťuje motivaci žáků druhého stupně základní školy k učení, konkrétně zda u těchto žáků převažuje motivace vnitřní, či vnější. V teoretické části práce shrnuje základní poznatky z oblasti obecné motivace, motivace k učení a motivačních determinantů. Praktická část je zaměřena na specializovaný výzkum. Obsahuje vyhodnocení cíleného dotazníkového šetření a intepretaci získaných dat. V závěru bakalářské práce je ověřována hypotéza, zda existuje souvislost mezi převažujícím druhem motivace a věkem, pohlavím a vzdělanostními aspiracemi žáků.

This Bachelor´s thesis examines the motivation of pupils in lower secondary education to learn, particularly the question whether internal or external motivation prevails in these pupils. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the basic theoretical findings in the field of motivation, motivation to learn and motivation determinants. The practical part focuses on specialized research based on the assessment of a questionnaire survey and the interpretation of the data obtained. The final part of the thesis verifies the assumptions of the hypothesis that there is a connection between the predominant type of motivation and age, gender and the educational aspirations of the pupils.
