Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na význam práce sociálního pracovníka v domově se zvláštním režimem pracujícího s cílovou skupinou klientů s psychiatrickou diagnózou. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část obsahuje čtyři stěžejní kapitoly. První se zaměřuje na sociálního pracovníka, vymezení jeho kompetencí vzhledem k práci s klienty s duševním onemocněním a platnou legislativu. Obsahem druhé kapitoly je samotná práce sociálního pracovníka, metoda práce s klientem a stále aktuální téma stigmatizace lidí s duševním onemocněním. Třetí část teorie zpracovává specifika práce sociálního pracovníka s klienty s duševním onemocněním, vymezení způsobu komunikace, typologie klientů a navázání vztahu s klientem. Poslední kapitola teoretické části se věnuje domovům se zvláštním režimem. Zmíněna je zde problematika transformace psychiatrické péče a vybraná duševní onemocnění, se kterými se sociální pracovník v domově se zvláštním režimem nejčastěji setkává.
V praktické části je popsán výzkum, metodologie, interpretace výsledků a diskuze. Kvalitativní výzkumné šetření probíhalo metodou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, s cílem zjistit nejčastější kompetence a roli sociálního pracovníka v domově se zvláštním režimem.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the importance of the work of a social worker in a home with a special regime who works with the target group of clients with a psychiatric diagnosis. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains four main chapters. The first chapter focuses on the social worker, defining his competencies with regard to working with clients with mental illness and respecting applicable legislation. The second chapter describes the work of a social worker as such, the method of working with clients and the still current topic of stigmatization of people with mental illness. The third part of the theoretical section deals with the specifics of the work of a social worker with clients with mental illness, defining the method of communication, typology of clients and establishing a relationship with the client. The last chapter of the theoretical part specializes in homes with a special regime. Selected mental illnesses that the social worker in a home with a special regime encounters most often and the issue of the transformation of psychiatric care are mentioned here.
The practical part describes the research, methodology, interpretation of results and discussion. The qualitative research survey was conducted using the method of semi-structured interviews, with the aim of finding out the most common competencies and the role of a social worker in a home with a special regime.
