Diplomová práce nazvaná ?Role muže-otce v minulosti a dnes? mapuje změnu této role v současné společnosti. Je zde uvedeno obecné pojetí genderu a genderových stereotypů. Práce také zahrnuje vymezení základních typů otcovských stylů, roli otce ve vývoji dítěte, nepřítomnost otce a také poruchy dětského vývoje. Rovněž je zde shrnut rozvod a jeho důsledky, včetně druhů úprav poměrů po rozvodu. V této práci je pro účely průzkumného šetření věnována pozornost skupině mužů-otců. Součástí diplomové práce je i průzkumné šetření zjišťující názory mužů-otců rozdělených dle věkových kategorií. Zjištění skutečné pozice a významu otce v rodině, dále srovnání postavení otce v minulosti a nyní a změny v chápání role muže-otce v průběhu času. Role muže-otce se postupem času mění, muži-otcové se více a častěji podílejí na péči o své dítě, než tomu bylo v minulosti.

The thesis named ?A part of man-father in past and nowadays? charts changes of this role in a present society. There is a general conception of gender and gender stereotypes there. The thesis also includes a delimitation of basic types of father?s styles, father?s role in child evolution, father?s absence and also disorders of child evolution. There is also included divorcement and its consequence including types of modification of conditions after divorce there. Attention is engaged to a group of men-fathers in this thesis and it is for a purpose of exploratory inquiry. An element of the thesis is also exploratory inquiry that finds out opinions of men-fathers divided into groups according to their age. Detection of real position and mening of father in a family, otherwise comparing of father?s status in past and nowadays and changes in comprehending of man-father?s role in history. A man-father?s role changes during time, men-fathers are more and more involved in taking care of their child comparing to history.
