Diabetes mellitus je závažným celosvětovým problémem. Celý svět v současné době prožívá pandemii diabetu, který se stává závažným zdravotním a také sociálním problémem ve všech vyspělých zemích světa.
Východiskem pro tuto studii bylo měření skupiny diabetiků v České republice, Mongolsku, Bulharsku a Číně. Měření bylo zaměřeno na dvě oblasti. Byly zjišťovány antropometrické charakteristiky nohou a stav nošené obuvi. Výsledky měření byly statisticky vyhodnocovány.

Diabetes mellitus is an important worldwide problem. All the world at present gets diabetes pandemy, which become weighty health as well as social problem of all mature land world.
The resource of this thesis was measurement of group of people with diabetes in the Czech Republic, in Mongolia, in Bulgaria and in China. The experiment was focused on two secti-ons. There were surveyed antrophometric characteristic of the feets and condition of wearing footwear. The results of measurement were statistically evaluated.
