Bakalářská práce se podrobně věnuje pěstounské péči a činnosti SOS dětských vesniček. Poskytuje vhled do problematiky této formy náhradní rodinné péče, vymezuje jednotlivé druhy pěstounské péče, popisuje specifika a problémy dětí, které se do této péče dostávají. Samostatná kapitola je věnována historii i současné činnosti organizace SOS dětské vesničky. Cílem výzkumné části je zjistit, do jaké míry tato organizace pomáhá pěstounům zvládat obtíže se svěřenými dětmi. K tomu jsme využili kvantitativní metodu, a to formu dotazníkového šetření.

This bachelor´s thesis deals in detail with foster care and the activities of SOS Children´s Villages. It provides insight into the problems of this form of substitute family care, defines individual types of foster care, describes the specifics and problems of children who receive this care. A separate chapter is devoted to the history and current activities of the SOS Children´s Villages. The aim of the research part is to find out to what extent this organization helps foster parents to cope with the difficulties with the entrusted children. For this purpose, we used a quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire survey.
