Tato bakalářská práce popisuje domácí násilí, vysvětluje jeho vznik a průběh, analyzuje problematiku domácího násilí. V první části je popsáno domácí násilí, kde jsou podávány ucelené informace o této problematice, jsou zde uvedeny statistiky k jednotlivým aspektům domácího násilí. Další část je věnována právním normám, jež se zabývají domácím násilím a postihují jeho páchání v různých formách a stupních.
Dále je zde rozebrán postup Policie ČR při jednotlivých stupních páchání domácího násilí, jak se projevují, co mohou obsahovat a možnosti postihů již v těchto stupních. Poté jsou zde uvedeny metody a způsoby, jak se policisté seznamují se problematikou domácího násilí, jaké jsou možnosti jeho správného zjišťování, vyhodnocování a jaké jsou adekvátní postupy při jeho řešení a práce s oběťmi. Jsou zde uvedeny názvy organizací intenzívně se zabývajících domácím násilím a pomocí obětem tohoto násilí. Součástí je i provedený průzkum v řadách příslušníků Policie ČR.

This thesis describes domestic violence, explains its origin and progress, analyses the issue of domestic violence. The first part contains the description of domestic violence, the complex information of this issue, the statistics of the specific aspects of domestic violence. Next part concerns the law norms that deal with domestic violence and cover this criminal activity in different forms and stages.
Also, there is an account of the procedure of the Police Department of the Czech Republic in different stages of domestic violence, how these are expressed, what they might include and potential criminal sanctions in these stages. Next, there is an account of methods and modes of how the police learn about the issue of domestic violence, of the possibilities of correct finding, assessing and of the appropriate procedures of dealing with it and its victims. There is a list of organizations which deal with domestic violence and help its victims intensively. Also, there is practical research done within the Police Department of the Czech Republic.
