Tato bakalářská práce popisuje specifické problémy osob závislých a mentálně retardovaných ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody. Popisuje stav současnéh vězeňství v České republice, zejména jeho přeměnu po roce 1989. Ústředním tématem práce je Věznice Vinařice, kde bylo možné v konkrétních podmínkách porovnat, zda se u osob závislých a mentálně retardovaných projevují ve větší míře poruchy chování, které ve svém důsledku vedou k páchání kázeňských přestupků. Práce naznačuje možné způsoby jak řešit dílčí problémy těchto osob.

The thesis describes particular problems of dependent and disturbed persons in case of the sentence of imprisonment. It descibes contemporary situation in prisons in Czech Republic, especially the changes after 1989. Main issue of the thesis is the prison in Vinařice. It was possible to compare in particular conditions, if the behavioural disorders display by the dependent and disturbed persons to a greater extent, which eventuate in disciplinary offences. The thesis signifies possible ways how to solve the partial problems of these persons.
