Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou sourozeneckých vztahů v rodinách dítěte s Downovým syndromem. Je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Obsahem teoretické části je definování pojmu Downův syndrom, jeho etiologie a vývoj se zaměřením na rodinu a sourozenecké vztahy. Empirickou část tvoří výzkum, jehož cílem bylo popsat specifika sourozeneckých vztahů v rodinách dítěte s Downovým syndromem z pohledu intaktních sourozenců. Pro výzkum byl zvolen kvalitativní způsob šetření a jako metoda sběru dat polostrukturovaný rozhovor. Do výzkumného vzorku byli zahrnuti čtyři sourozenci jedinců s Downovým syndromem. Součástí praktické části je dále analýza získaných dat, jejich vyhodnocení a následná interpretace.

Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of sibling relationships in families with child with Down syndrome. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The content of the theoretical part is definition of Down syndrom term, its etiology and development with a focus on family and sibling relationships. The empirical part consists of research with key describing the specifics of sibling relationships in the families with child with Down syndrome from the perspective of intact siblings. A qualitative method of investigation was chosen for the research and a semi-structured conversation as a method of data collection. Four siblings of individuals with Down syndrome were included in the research sample. Part of the practical section is the analysis of the data obtained, their evaluation and sub-sequent interpretation.
