Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou edukace pacientů po totální endoprotéze kyčelního kloubu. V teoretické části popisuje stavbu a funkci kyčelního kloubu, objasňuje typy endoprotéz, indikace a kontraindikace k operaci. Dále popisuje bezprostřední péči po operaci na jednotce intenzivní péče a edukaci pacientů po totální endoprotéze kyčle. Hlavním cílem v empirické části je zjistit efektivní načasování edukace o následné pooperační péči z pohledu pacienta, zjistit zájem pacientů, od koho ze zdravotníků by preferovali dostávat informace, zjistit vědomosti pacientů o možnostech tišení bolesti na jednotce intenzivní péče a dále zjistit úroveň znalostí o režimových opatřeních po operaci kyčle.

This bachelors´ thesis is focused on education of patients after total hip joint replacement. The theoretical part describes the structure and function of the hip joint. Then it deals with different kinds of endoprosthesis, indications and contraindications in relation to the ope-ration. Then the thesis in the other part describes the health care immediately after the operation at a "intensive care unit" and the patients´ education after the hip joint replacement leading to quality post-operative care. The main task of the empiric part is to find out the effective timing of patient´s education about the following postoperative care, find out from who the patients prefer to receive information, to find out the patients´ knowledges about the possibilities of pain relieving at the "intensive care unit" and finally to recognize the patient knowledge level about the regime provisions after the hip joint replacement.
