Péče o umírající pacienty není lehká. O to těžší je pro studenty ošetřovatelství, kteří nemusí mít dostatečné znalosti a zkušenosti, jak pečovat o umírající a mrtvé. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, jak studenti reagují v situacích, kdy pečují o umírající a jaké jsou hlavní potřeby studentů v těchto situacích. Také je od studentů získáván názor na péči o rodinu umírajícího a studijní přípravu na zvládání těchto situací.
Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na potřeby studentů ošetřovatelství, umírání a smrt včetně povinností sester v péči o tyto pacienty, zkušenost studentů s umíráním a smrtí na odděleních, well-being studentů.
Empirická část prezentuje výsledky dotazníkového šetření, které bylo zaměřeno na studenty ošetřovatelství, mající praktickou výuku.

Caring of daying patients is not easy. The more difficult it is for nursing students´ which have not sufficient knowledge and experineces with care of the daying and dead patient.
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find, how nursing students´ responds to situation, when they caring of daying and dead patient and how nursing students´ have main needs in these situations. Also, we find nursing students´ opinions on care of family of a dying patient and we find nursing students´ opinions on prepared them in school on cope with these situation.
The theoretical part focuses on nursing students´ needs, dying and death including the duties nurses in caring of dying and dead patients, then focuses on nursing student´ expe-riences a care of dying and dead patients in clinical placements, too focuses on nursing students´well-being.
The empirical part presents the results of questionnaire survey, focuses on nursing student, which had clinical practice.
