Hlavnou úlohou dizertačnej práce je analýza využitia 3D technológií v procese tvorby designu a ich vplyvu v rámci celého procesu tvorby designu.
Cieľom teoretickej časti práce je zdokumentovať aktuálny stav 3D technológií od ich začiatku až po súčasnosť, venovať sa jednotlivým druhom 3D technológií a ich aplikácii v postupných krokoch kreatívneho procesu tvorby designu. K jednotlivým krokom procesu sú priradené dané 3D technológie spolu s novými médiami, ktoré môžu mať priaznivý vplyv na zlepšenie či zjednodušenie daného procesu.
Práca je ďalej zameraná na rozbor metodiky designerskej práce s využitím 3D technológií.
Hlavnou úlohou praktickej časti práce je vývoj interaktívneho vizualizačného systému, ktorý slúži na prezentáciu priemyselného designu.

The main task of the dissertation is to analyze the use of 3D technologies in the process of creating design and their influence through the whole design process.
The aim of the theoretical part of my work is to document the actual state of 3D technologies from the beginning to the present, also to deal with the different types of 3D technologies and their application in the steps of the creative design processes. The individual steps of these processes are associated with the 3D technology along with new media that can have a positive impact on improving or simplifying these design processes.
In addition, the work is focused on the analysis of the methodology of design work using 3D technology and new media.
The main task of the practical part of the thesis is the development of an interactive visualization system, which serves to present industrial design.
