Předmětem této diplomové práce je vysvětlit pojem canisterapie a zjistit, zda tato metoda zooterapie pomáhá v praktickém životě, zda jsou vidět nějaké výsledky tam, kde je tato metoda používána. V teoretické části své práce se zabývám pojmem zooterapie, historií vztahu mezi psem a člověkem, pojmem canisterapie - co to znamená, jaké jsou její cíle, formy a jak se organizuje, dále vysvětluji co je to polohování, kdo jsou účastníci canisterapie, kdy se canisterapie používá a nakonec organizace zabývající se canisterapií. V praktické části uvádím kasuistiky klientů z různých zařízení, u kterých je canisterapie praktikována, a zjišťuji, zda má canisterapie kladné výsledky.

The subject of this thesis is to explain the concept of animal assisted therapy and to determine whether this method of animal assisted therapy helps in the practical life, whether they are seeing some results where this method is used. In the theoretical part of my work deals with the concept of animal assisted therapy, history of relationship between dog and human, canistherapy concept - what it means, what its goals, forms and how to organize, as I explain what it is positioning, which the participant is animal assisted therapy, where the
animal assisted therapy used and ultimately organizations canistherapy. The practical part describes the casuistry of clients from various devices, which is practiced animal assisted therapy, and determines whether the positive results of animal assisted therapy.
