Diplomová práce má teoreticko-výzkumný charakter. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, jaké je zastoupení genderové tematiky v knihách pro děti předškolního věku. Teoretická část se zabývá vymezením základních pojmů spojených s genderem, a také se zabývá dětskou literaturou a gender tematikou v knihách pro děti předškolního věku. Výzkumná část představuje kvalitativní design výzkumu, jenž byl realizován prostřednictvím obsahové analýzy knih a nestrukturovaných rozhovorů s dětmi. Výzkumná zjištění ukazují, jaké oblasti gender tematiky se objevují v knihách pro děti předškolního věku, ale také zobrazují názory dětí na neshody pohlavní identity s genderovou identitou. V závěru práce jsou zpracovány výsledky výzkumu a doporučení pro praxi.

This dissertation thesis has a theoretical-empirical approach. The aim of the dissertation thesis is to find out what is the representation of gender issues in books for preschool children. The theoretical part focuses on defining basic concepts related to gender, as well as on children's literature and gender issues in books for preschool children. The empirical section demonstrates qualitative design research which was conducted through content analysis of books and unstructured interviews with children. The results of the research show which areas of gender issues appear in books for preschool children, but also show children's views on gender and sexual identity mismatches. At the end of the work, the research findings and recommendations for practice are processed.
