Ochrana kritické infrastruktury je mezi běžnými lidmi docela neznámý pojem, přitom se jí zabývají odborníci z jednotlivých zainteresovaných sektorů už několik let.
V teoretické části popisuji vznik kritické infrastruktury ve Spojených státech amerických a její rozšíření do Evropy a České republiky. Zhodnotil jsem součastný stav legislativních úprav u nás a v Europské unii.
V praktické části zpočátku popisuji základní pojmy kritické infrastruktury, její dělení na sektory a jejich oblasti. Analyzoval jsem součastný stav ochrany kritické infrastruktury v České republice a vytvořil některé návrhy řešení ochrany. Na závěr jsem krátce zhodnotil stav a vývoj ochrany kritické infrastruktury České republiky.

The critical infrastructure protection is unknown concept among citizens. Despite on this fact, it is the subject of interest for specialist from many sector of the science.
In theoretical part, I describe the inception of critical infrastructure in United States of America and it´s widespeard to Europe and Czech Republic. I evaluated current status of legislative acts in Czech Republic and in European Union.
In practical part, there are descibed the basic terms of critical infrastructure and how it is devided into the sectors and futhermore, the areas. I analyzed the current status of critical infrastructure protection In Czech republic and also suggested any improvements in protection solution. At very end, there is a short of status and development of Critical infrastructure protection.
