Bakalářská práce se zabývá kvalitou života pacienta před i po amputaci dolní končetiny. Teoretická část popisuje historii a dělení amputací, nejčastější příčiny amputací, typy amputací a kritéria, dle kterých se rozhoduje o výši amputace. Dále práce popisuje komplikace vzniklé vlivem amputace. Rozsáhlou kapitolou jsou specifika ošetřovatelské péče před i po operaci, péče o pahýl a využití protetiky. Závěr teoretické části pojednává o kvalitě života pacienta.
Cílem práce je zjistit, jaký vliv mají amputace na kvalitu života pacienta v jeho jednotlivých dimenzích.

The bachelor thesis deals with the quality of life of the patient before and after the amputation of the lower limb. The theoretical part describes the history and division of amputations, the most common causes of amputations, the types of amputations and the criteria by which amputation is decided. Furthermore, the work describes complications due to amputation. The extensive chapter is the specifics of nursing care before and after surgery, stomach care and prosthetic use. The conclusion of the theoretical part deals with the quality of life of the patient.
The aim of this thesis is to determine the impact of amputations on the quality of life of the patient in its individual dimensions.
