Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou péče o nohy u seniorů s diabetem mellitem. Slouží čtenáři k základní orientaci v problematice onemocnění diabetes mellitus a jeho komplikací u seniorů. V teoretické části je popsáno samotné onemocnění a jeho specifika u seniorů, dále je charakterizován syndrom diabetické nohy a pravidla správné péče o nohy u této skupiny pacientů. Praktická část práce zjišťuje pomocí dotazníkového šetření a pozorování, zda jsou senioři s diabetem mellitem o péči o nohy informováni a jak vypadá jejich starost o nohy reálně. Součásti je také vytvoření vhodného edukačního materiálu o péči o nohy pro seniory s tímto onemocněním.

The bachelor thesis deals with the problems of foot care in seniors with diabetes mellitus. It provides readers basic insight into the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus and its complications in seniors. The theoretical part describes the disease itself and its specifics with seniors. Furthermore the diabetic foot syndrome is defined as well as the rules of proper leg care with these patients. Practical part of the thesis investigates by questionnaires and observations whether the seniors with diabetes mellitus are informed about leg care and what this care looks like in practice. Part of the thesis is also a formation of educational material for the seniors with this disease.
