Annotation Diplomová práce se zaměřuje hlavně na teoretické zpracování special events jako jednoho z nástrojů marketingových komunikací, který více a více získává na důležitosti. V teoretické části popisuje, co jsou to special events, jaký je jejich dopad na okolní prostředí, co znamená marketing v této oblasti a co vše je třeba udělat při produkci nějaké akce. V části praktické práce popisuje australskou společnost AEC, její formy komunikace a její special events.
Annotation in English The thesis is mainly concentrated on theoretical elaboration of special events. Because special events are one of the marketing communication tools which is becoming more and more important. In the theoretical part it is described, what the special events are, what its impact is, what marketing means in the special events sphere and what the needs are when producing an event. In practical part there is a description of Australian company AEC, its communication forms and its special events.

Research Plan 1. Zpracujte literární prameny v oblasti teorie komunikace. Definujte základní pojmy marketingových komunikací (reklama, public relations, podpora prodeje, přímý marketing, osobní prodej) s důrazem na special events a pojmy, s nimiž budete dále pracovat.
2. Formulujte teoretická východiska a pracovní hypotézy pro analýzu současného stavu komunikace a aktivit Vámi vybrané společnosti s důrazem na special events.
3. Zpracujte analýzu současných metod, forem a prostředků (klady a zápory) plánování special events této společnosti.
4. Zhodnoťte výsledky analýzy a vyvoďte závěry pro přípravu konkrétní akce.
5. Navrhněte konkrétní akci. Zhodnoťte přínos navrhovaného řešení i případná rizika v jeho realizaci.
