Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou článků k zápasům britského tenisty Andyho Murrayho na Olympijských hrách v brazilském Riu de Janeiru v roce 2016, publikovaných v britském tisku.
Teoretická část obecně popisuje noviny a poté detailněji i jazyk tisku. Následně stručně nastiňuje historii tenisu a tenis jakožto olympijskou disciplínu na letních hrách v Riu. Teoreticky vymezeny jsou terminologie a jazykové prostředky používané ve sportu společně s víceslovnými výrazy a řečnickými figurami. V závěru jsou z teoretického hlediska definovány diskurzní analýza a její části.
Praktická část analyzuje články bulvárního a seriózního tisku. Výsledky každého článku jsou shrnuty a porovnány v závěru.

This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of articles published in the British press which reported on the matches of the British tennis player Andy Murray at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The theoretical part focuses on generally describing the newspapers and afterwards its language in more detail. A brief history of tennis is outlined as well as tennis as a discipline at the 2016 Olympics. The language of sport and its terminology along with the theoretical characterization of multi-word expressions and figures of speech follows. Discourse analysis and its elements are defined theoretically in the end.
The practical part contains the analysis of articles from the tabloid and the serious press. The results of each article are summarized and compared in a conclusion.
