Teoretická část bakalářské práce se zabývá průběhem císařského řezu, komplikacemi, které mohou v průběhu této operace nastat a možnostmi provedení císařského řezu. Dále je zmíněn císařský řez na přání a elektivní císařský řez. Další kapitola bakalářské práce má název Spontánní porod, kdy se zaměřujeme na průběh porodu, rizika a komplikace. Dále je popsána anestezie, analgezie a možnosti jejich využití při porodu císařským řezem i spontánním porodu. V kapitole Porod po předešlém císařském řezu je popsána historie tohoto vedení porodu, komplikace a kontraindikace spojené s touto situací.
Praktická část bakalářské práce je zaměřena na prožívání obou porodů. Tato část je zpracována pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu. Součástí praktické části je deset rozhovorů se ženami, které mají ve své anamnéze císařský řez i spontánní porod a mohou oba dva způsoby vedení porodu s odstupem času zhodnotit. Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce bylo provést rozbor získaných informací o tělesném a psychickém stavu žen po porodu a provést srovnání obou způsobů porodů.

The theoretical part of this Bachelor's thesis focuses on the process of caesarean section, complications, which may occur during the surgery and the possibilities how to perform caesarean section. Furthermore, this part mentions the caesarean section upon request and the birth after previous caesarean section. Another chapter of the thesis describes the spontaneous birth and its process, risks and complications. Moreover, the thesis describes an-aesthesia and analgesia and possibilities of their usage during caesarean section and spontaneous birth. The chapter about the birth after previous caesarean section describes the history of this surgery, complications and contraindications associated with this situation.
The practical part of the Bachelor's thesis focuses on the experiences of both caesarean section and spontaneous birth. This section is executed based on qualitative research. In the practical section there are ten interviews with women, who experienced both caesarean section and spontaneous birth and therefore they can evaluate both methods of surgeries. The aim of this Bachelor's thesis was to analyse the information about women´s physical and mental condition after birth and to compare both methods of surgeries. The research indicates that nine out of ten women prefer spontaneous birth.
