Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku postoje seniorů ke smrti a umírání s ohledem na umístění v sociálních službách. Teoretická část předkládá informace o pojmech,které jsou spojené s tématem. Popisuje pojem stáří, sociální práce, thanatologie, sociální pedagogiku. Zabývá se otázkou postojů seniorů ke smrti, k umírání, charakterizuje a uvádí přehled dostupných sociálních služeb a věnuje se i adaptaci seniorů. Praktická část popisuje kvalitativní výzkum, který je realizován metodou strukturovaného rozhovoru.
V interpretační části představujeme vyhodnocení získaných dat.

The thesis is focused on the issue of seniors' attitudes to death and dying with respect to placement in social services. The theoretical part presents information about the terms that are associated with the topic. It describes the concept of old age, social work, Thanatology,social pedagogy. It examines the attitudes of older people to death, the dying, characterizes and gives an overview of available social services and všěnuje the adaptation and seniors. The practical part describes qualitative research, which is implemented using a structured
interview. At present the interpretation of the evaluation of the data obtained.
