Diplomová práce je zaměřena na reminiscenční terapii a její využití v domovech pro seniory v ostravsko-karvinské oblasti. V teoretické části se věnujeme seniorům a sociálním, psychickým a fyzickým změnám ve stáří. Zabýváme se reminiscenční terapií, jejím vznikem a vývojem. Pojednáváme o reminiscenční terapii v systému sociálních služeb. V praktické části jsme k řešení výzkumu využili metodu polostrukturováných rozhovorů. Řešíme zde, jaký vliv má reminiscenční terapie na seniory žijící v domovech pro seniory. Zkoumáme primární oblast vzpomínání seniorů a způsob realizace reminiscenční terapie ve vybraných domovech pro seniory.

The thesis is focused on reminiscence therapy at the use in retirement homes in Ostrava-Karviná region. Theoretical part concerns with characteristics of the old people, their social, physical and psychical changes. It deals with reminiscence therapy, its origins and development. The thesis looks at the reminiscence therapy in the social services system. Practical part use a semi-structured interview. The aim of research is to find out the effect of reminiscence therapy for seniors in retirement homes. The research part explores the primary area of reminiscence for senior citizens and the implementation of reminiscence therapy in selected homes for the elderly.
