Práce je zaměřena na přípravu přednášky kontinuálního vzdělávání pro střední zdravotnické pracovníky se zaměřením na sociální práci. V úvodu popisuje význam vzdělávání dospělých, didaktiku vzdělávání dospělých a výuku formou kooperativní metody skupinové práce ve vzdělávání.
Vymezuje pojem sociální práce, definuje sociální práci jako profesi, podmínky pro její vykonávání a formy vzdělávání.
Specifikuje metodu případové sociální práce na kterou je zaměřena přednáška a její příprava, jejíž součástí jsou zásady sociální práce s jednotlivcem a klientem s duševním onemocněním, sociální dovednosti sociálního pracovníka, komunikační dovednosti sociálního pracovníka a formy komunikace s klientem.

My Baccalaureate thesis is focused on the preparation of a lecture on continuing education of secondary-educated health care workers, with the specialty ''social worker‘‘ (whose activities are concentrated on social work). The introduction describes the significance of adult education, adult education didactics and teaching by means of a cooperative method in group instruction.
The thesis defines the term of social work, qualifies the social work as a profession, determines the conditions of its pursuit (performing, practise) and the forms of education.
A method of case social work is specified, which is the aim of the lecture and its preparation, and the parts of which are principles of case social work and social work with a mentally ill client, social skill of the social worker, communication skill of the social worker, and ways of communication with a client.
