Annotation	Tato diplomová práce zpracovává údaje o diabetu mellitu II. typu se zaměřením na speci-fické nutriční potřeby pacientů s tímto onemocněním. Zabývá se charakteristikou onemoc-nění, typy diabetu, příčinami vzniku, způsoby léčby a samostatným popisem slinivky břišní. Dále práce obsahuje nutriční doporučení pro pacienty a srovnávání jídelníčků samotných pacientů se vzorovým jídelníčkem.
Annotation in English	The subject of this thesis is diabetes mellitus II. type, especially specific nutritional needs of patients suffering from this disease. It deals with diabetes, types of this disease, causa-tion of inception, means of treatment, and description of pancreas. The thesis than includes recommendations concerning nutrition and compares meal plans of patients with exemplary meal plan.
