The right to privacy in the current legal system and its specifics in the media environment and in advertising are becoming a frequent problem of our society. The thesis is mapping privacy laws in the Czech legal system and their effectiveness. It is also reporting on the attitudes of the general public towards this issue. This thesis is trying to show the possibilities of individual defence as provided by existing legal norms.
