Záznam průběhu obhajoby
The student presented his thesis.
Q, review: Why do you have so few respondents? A: Initially I planned to have more, but only 4 of them replied and agreed to helping me with my thesis, but last minute, only 2 agreed to meet. I tried to work with the data available.
Q, Vinklárek: Which other companies did you contact? Microsoft and IBM.
Q, Fonfárová: In total you contacted 4? A: Yes.
Q, review: Can you conclude chapter 5.8 in-depth? A: (The student answered well.)
Q, Vinklárek: Did the respondents provide any numbers of team members? A: Yes. It depends on how many projects they are working on. In the company Moravia they need more people.
Q, review: Do you have any personal experience with localization (software or any other)? A: No, only as an end user of localization.
Q, Dujka: What do you think about the localization of computer games? A: It's a special type of localization, much harder, depending on the game, the software localization might have different goals.
Q, review: Were there any other questions that you considered asking or which you asked and did not make it into the thesis? (e.g. Did you ask for a typical budget or costs of localization?) A: I mainly asked about everything I wanted. I asked, however, I did not get any answer due to an NDA the respondents signed. They didn't want to talk about it.
Q, review: Can you provide your own thoughts or summarizing comments on the selection of the ''final software localization process‘‘ which you include in chapter 5.9? A: I agree with the respondents, they justified the selection. I agree with their opinions on this generalized list of tasks.
